# In Puerto Vallarta Someone Always Knows a Guy... or Gal!


One of my favourite things about Puerto Vallarta isn't just the sunshine, the ocean, the food or the slower pace of life.

It's the people.

In Puerto Vallarta, you are almost always just one conversation away from finding exactly what you need. Need a doctor? Someone knows a gal. Looking for a great restaurant that isn't in every guidebook? Someone knows a guy.

Want a private tour guide who will show you the insides of PV? "I know someone!"

Dreaming of a boat ride, fishing trip, massage, hair appointment, handyman, mechanic, taxi, photographer, or pretty much anything else? Just ask.

Somehow, someone always seems to have a recommendation. I absolutely LOVE that about this place. There is something wonderfully human about communities that share their knowledge. People don't just give you a name and a phone number, they give you the story behind it.

"Go see her. She's amazing."

"Tell him I sent you."

"They're the best!"

Suddenly, a stranger becomes a connection, and a simple question becomes a conversation.

Of course, we still have to use our common sense and do our own homework when it comes to important things. But there is something comforting about knowing that you don't always have to figure everything out alone.

Sometimes, you just have to ask.

Be willing to ask for help. Be willing to share what you know and be willing to make an introduction.

You never know when the person sitting beside you at coffee, the neighbour in the elevator, or the new friend you just met might have exactly the connection you were looking for. In PV, it often feels like the world is a little smaller.

You are never very far from...

"Oh, I know a guy."

Or better yet...

"I know a gal!"

And just like that, you're one conversation closer to your next great discovery. Sometimes the best travel resource is the people we meet along the way.
