About Mindful Travellers

Welcome to Mindful Travellers. We are Mr. & Ms. Mindful Traveller — a Canadian couple who travel slowly, pack intentionally, and treat security as part of the journey, not an afterthought.

One of us works in cybersecurity (the offensive/defensive side — we have seen what happens when people skip the basics). The other brings a background in research and systems thinking. Together we have visited dozens of countries across six continents, always with a focus on staying present while staying secure.

We do not share our real names, employers, or current location in real time. This is not paranoia; it is professional habit. When you work in security, you learn that operational privacy is a layer of defense, not a sign of mistrust. Our expertise is yours. Our identities are not.

We are based in New Brunswick, Canada.

  1. We only recommend what we use — or what we would use if our use case matched yours.
  2. We disclose conflicts — affiliate links, referral bonuses, and complimentary access are always marked.
  3. We correct errors — if a card benefit changes or a product fails, we update the post and note the revision.
  4. We do not give investment advice — credit card reviews and travel budgeting tips are consumer information, not securities guidance.
  • Demonstrated expertise: Our cybersecurity travel guides are written from professional experience, not second-hand research.
  • Transparent methodology: When we compare credit cards, we show the math — annual fees, break-even points, FX spreads, and opportunity costs.
  • Consistent voice: We have published daily mindful moments and long-form guides since 2023. Our archive is public and searchable.
  • Accountability: We publish a privacy policy, terms of service, and contact addresses. You can reach us at [email protected] and [email protected].

We read every message. Please allow 2–3 business days for a response.

The pace is not a race — slow down, breathe, and explore with intention.
