July 6: 30 Years of Mindful Marriage
Today marks 30 years that Mr. Mindful Traveller and I said I do. We have shared so many grand adventures. Life has thrown us our share of obstacles, but we have learned to zig and zag together. Traveling has been our passion and a lifestyle we have dreamed of. I am happy to say we have accomplished many of our goals together and I look forward to visiting so many more beautiful destinations. The ability to travel along side my best friend and life partner is one of life’s greatest joys! Cheers to the next 30 years may they be filled with even more adventure.
Yours filled with love and adventure, Ms. Mindful Traveller

July 7: Grateful for Friends that Go Above and Beyond!
Our 30th Anniversary was filled with so much love and kindness we are truly blessed. Friends took care of us in a royal way, cooking a feast fit for royalty. Our great friend and personal chef prepared the most delicious meal with care and love. Dessert made and brought to us by his wife a woman with a heart of gold. I swear food tastes better when prepared with love. There was so much care, even the presentation was Michelin star rating. To have friends that went out of their way for us was truly a night to remember! Be mindful of the people you keep in your circle. They can be the highlight reel or they can cause heartache, so choose wisely. I feel so much gratitude and never want to take this life for granted.
Yours filled with gratitude, Ms. Mindful Traveller
July 8: Budgeting for Your Next Adventure
Where does anyone find the money to travel anymore? I have learned that I prefer memories over things, so recently I have started selling my stuff. I already have sold enough for a full trip and I am not done selling yet. I also think that if travel is important to you then you should find a way to make it happen. A side hustle might be your way to a vacation. Our son decided to teach abroad making it easier for him to see a different part of the world. Figure out the cost of your next adventure and then start saving. It’s surprising really when you look around at the surplus of material items that can be sold for cash. Always make your dreams possible, work for it and make it happen.
Yours with endless possibilities, Ms. Mindful Traveller
July 9: Reunions
It is always such a joy to be reunited with good friends and family. We are often away in different locations and have made friends all over. Reunions have become something I recognize and enjoy. I love seeing the faces of those that I am lucky enough to reunite with. The joy that I feel in my heart when I am reunited with the ones I have allowed in my circle in a true gift. I am so grateful for each and every reunion, friendships and family are important to me and getting to spend time with those you love reunited if only for a short time is so rewarding. Reach out to someone you haven’t seen in awhile, make each reunion a celebration of life.
Yours reunited, Ms. Mindful Traveller
July 10: My Mindful Morning Coffee
In the morning I start my day with a perfect cup of coffee. We have invested in a great coffee machine. It is worth every penny. De’Longhi Magnifica Start Fully Automatic Espresso Machine with Automatic Milk Frother - Black (CA | COM) When we vacation we always look for where we are going to source that first cup. When I am home I have a favourite pottery mug that starts my routine in the same way, filled with coffee and cream sometimes followed by a latte. The cup always feels nice and warm in my hands and I take this time to reflect on what today will bring. This is a mindful moment, never rushed always enjoyed. What simple tradition do you have daily that brings you joy and you would consider a mindful moment? Whatever this is for you I hope you take that time daily for yourself to truly enjoy!
Yours in reflection, Ms. Mindful Traveller
July 11: The Age of Artificial Intelligence
How can we use A.I. to help plan our trip? There are many ways we can use A.I. to assist in everything from organizing our itinerary to finding places to stay. Like everything we do with A.I., it is essential to fact check. The prompts that we give the A.I., will reflect how accurate the information is. For instance when checking prices for flights you could ask A.I. To find you flights from a certain place to another and compare airlines and times. You can ask for the information to be given in a chart. You can ask if there are any ways to get additional discounts for these flights. Then you can go and check to see if the information given was accurate and book. It is great to gain ideas and to use A.I. as a tool, however just like a travel agent things can go wrong if communication is lagging.
Happy planning, Ms. Mindful Traveller
July 12: The Tides
I’m a thalassophile, I love the beach. I am calmer and I love all that the sea has to offer. In beautiful New Brunswick, Canada we have tides. The tide table allows us to understand when we have high and low tides. Tide Tables We can literally walk the bottom of the ocean. Where we are when it’s low tide we have sand bars that we can stroll from one to another. We can go to Fundy National Park and watch the immensity and power of the ocean changing tides from low to high, in what seems like minutes. A true wonder of the world. Sitting on a beach chair watching the tides come in reading a book is one of life’s greatest luxuries. I am blessed I get to enjoy this on the regular.
Yours the thalassophile, Ms. Mindful Traveller
